Hallelujah! Pokemon Go has now included extra-rare shiny Pokemon just waiting to be caught! So if you’re hankerin’ for that gorgeous ruby red shiny Gyarados or that golden Magikarp, now’s the best time to get back into the game.
There hasn’t been any official news coming from Niantic (developers) or its publisher, “The Pokemon Company” about the inclusion of these new shiny creatures. Despite there being a new event focusing on Water types. Since the new shiny pokemon are water types, it would make sense the shiny pokemon are connected to the event somehow.
It’s still left to be seen whether the Golden Magikarp or the Red Gyarados will still be around when the event ends on the 29th of March, but if you’re like me, you’d want them to stick around permanently.
Shiny Pokemon have been around since the Generation II of the Pokemon games. Often very illusive and rare, they are very highly sought after by players around the world. The chances of you encountering a shiny in the wild is 1 in 8000. Naturally fans have also been yearning for Niantic to add in Legendary Pokemon which they say will be out by the end of the year.
The game has seen much improvement as Niantic continues to offer its support in keeping it updated. New pokeomn from the Gold and Silver games were added in February with trading features and PVP battles are currently in development.
